Our Professionals
The Audiologists of East End Hearing maintain current N.Y.S. Licensure in Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensing and current professional affiliations at all times. Additionally, each audiologist practices continuing education in an effort to afford all patients the opportunity to take advantage of innovative audiologic and dispensing trends and equipment, and state-of-the-art digital hearing aid technology.
It is our mission to strive to provide comprehensive and professional hearing healthcare, from prevention to rehabilitation, for those individuals with hearing concerns without exception of age. Our patient care is unique to each individual and reflects the professional concern and attention required to allow each individual to succeed toward his or her goal of improved quality of life through better hearing.
Dr. Lynn O'Bray-Donohue is a N.Y.S Licensed Audiologist and Hearing aid Dispenser, and has been providing audiologic Care at East End Hearing since 1987. She has been co-owner of East End Hearing, with her partner Dr. Michael Qualley, since 1991. Dr. O'Bray-Donohue was awarded her Masters in Audiology by Adelphi University in Garden City, N.Y. and received her Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and of The Academy of Doctoring Audiologists.
During her early career, Dr. O'Bray-Donohue provided hearing evaluations and hearing aid fittings at both Suffolk Hearing & Speech Center in Bayshore, N.Y. and at East End Hearing. From the time she became a full-time audiologist at East End in mid-1987, Dr. O'Bray-Donohue has provided audiologic services for patients in the office setting as well as for Cleary School for The Deaf, Just Kids Early Learning / Diagnostic & Treatment Center and the Brookhaven National Lab. Currently, Dr. O'Bray-Donohue spends all of her time in the office location in order to provide convenient, individualized and quality patient care. She is often invited by civic organizations to speak on behalf of hearing loss and hearing aids. Patients who receive audiologic Care provided by Dr. O'Bray-Donohue are able to benefit from the expertise she has developed in her more than 25 years of experience in diagnostic hearing evaluation and hearing aid fitting /hearing rehabilitation.
On a personal note, Dr. O'Bray-Donohue spends her free time reading, traveling and relaxing with her family. She lives in the local community with her husband and daughter.
Dr. Michael Qualley is a N.Y.S Licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser, and has been providing audiologic Care at East End Hearing since 1989. He has been co-owner of East End Hearing, with his partner Dr. Lynn O'Bray-Donohue, since 1991. Dr. Qualley was awarded his Masters in Audiology by Adelphi University, Garden City, N.Y. and received his Doctor of Audiology degree from A.T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and an Associate of the Academy of Doctoring Audiologists.
Dr. Qualley began his career as a diagnostic audiologist and as the Director of the Hearing Aid Dispensary at Long Island College Hospital (LICH), in Brooklyn, N.Y. While at LICH, he also performed audiologic services for patients at the private practice of Sullivan & Sullivan in Garden City, under the direction of audiologist Roy Sullivan, PhD. Dr. Qualley has posted presentations on Newborn Hearing Screening for conference sessions of The American Speech and Hearing Association.
During his career at East End Hearing, Dr. Qualley has provided audiologic Care for patients in the office, as well as for Just Kids Early Learning/ Diagnostic & Treatment Center and the Brookhaven National Lab. He currently devotes his full-time attention to the office setting, in order to ensure convenient, thorough and quality care for his patients. As a result of more than 25 years of hearing evaluation and hearing aid fitting experience, patients who are cared for by Dr. Qualley have the advantage of clinical expertise and intuition in their diagnosis and follow-up.
Dr. Qualley resides in the local area, where he enjoys a busy family life with his wife and three children. He dedicates his free time to coaching for the athletic program in the local community parish. Dr. Qualley also trains for and competes in triathlon events.
Dr. Diane Davis is a N.Y.S Licensed Audiologist and Hearing aid Dispenser and has been providing audiologic Care at East End Hearing since 1990. Dr. Davis was awarded her Masters in Audiology by the University of Tennessee and received her Doctor of Audiology degree from A. T. Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology and The Academy of Doctoring Audiologists. Dr. Davis is also a member of The American Speech and Hearing Association.
Dr. Davis has provided audiologic services in various settings throughout her career. Early on, she practiced in the audiology clinic at St. Charles Hospital, and provided services for the patients of Dr. Lipinski, ENT physician. Since 1990, Dr. Davis has been the audiologist at Just Kids Early Learning/ Diagnostic and Treatment Center and has been providing patient care in the office setting at East End Hearing as well. Dr. Davis has been a guest speaker for students at Suffolk Community College, and has a long-standing history of supervising future audiologists in their required clinical setting practicums for Adelphi University, Hofstra University, and St. Joseph's University. Her professionalism and quality of care is unrivaled, and she has developed exceptional diagnostic and clinical skills in her more than 25 years of practicing.
Dr. Davis enjoys spending her time with her husband and two children. She lives in the local community, and is actively involved in her church.
